  5. Print Juggler is a simple utility that allows:
  6. • Monitoring of several printers and their status.  The user is shown whether the printers are idle, busy, not connected, or in some error state.  This is done with special icons that the user creates on the desktop.  More detailed information can be obtained from the Print Juggler menu at any time.
  7. • Bypassing the Chooser by allowing the user to select a printer by using the Print Juggler menu or by double-clicking on one of the desktop icons (this method is disabled in the demo)

  9. Installation:
  10. 1 - Drop the Print Juggler extension into the System folder of your startup drive.
  11. 2 - After you restart your Macintosh, you should notice the Print Juggler menu (the three colored balls)
  12. 3 - Select 'Choose Printers…' from the Print Juggler menu.
  13. 4 - A dialog will appear that will permit the selection of the printers that you wish to monitor.
  14. 5 - Once a printer is selected, an icon can be made of it, using the 'Make Icons' button.  This icon will change to reflect the status of the represented printer.
  15. 6 - Now, the Print Juggler menu can be used to switch printers from within any application.
